GREEN STRATEGIES FOR BUILDING DESIGN
PASSIVE GREEN BUILDING CASE STUDIES POSTER & BOOKLET
In a group of 4-5, we selected two case studies to analyze the application of passive sustainable design strategies within architectural projects, focusing on one building from a tropical climate region, and one from a different climate region (Arid, Mediterranean, Temperate Continental, or Polar).
We decided to analyse the Diamond Building in Putrajaya for tropical climate and the Pixel Building for Temperate Oceanic. Our objectives included identifying and comparing the passive design strategies employed in both case studies, focusing on site planning, daylighting, façade design, natural ventilation, and strategic landscaping.
We were also required to analyze and elaborate on how these passive strategies impacted each project's quality and spatial experience. As an outcome, we were expected to create an A0 infographic poster and an A4 landscape booklet (25-30 pages) that included written text, diagrams, sketches, drawings, and images.
Additionally, we needed to prepare a pre-recorded presentation lasting 10-15 minutes, summarizing the content of the poster.
