Architecture Design Studio 01
Architectural Design I (ARC60208) is designed to be an introductory course to architectural design. This preliminary design module aims to present and explain design in terms of tectonics through the expression of the'self' and the body, construction, and materiality. Students will participate in a series of studio-based exercises and assignments that will introduce them to the fundamental methods, principles, and approaches in design thinking and basic spatial design. This will be enhanced with an understanding of anthropometrics and the design of intrapersonal space through creative exercises involving the user's body movements and experiences.
03
Space and Sensory: Self-Exploration through spaces
To introduce and create awareness in understanding the dimensional requirements of the human body (anthropometrics and ergonomics).
Reflection
In this whole journey of semester 01, I do enjoy a lot in this module and learned a lot from my lecturers and peers. They always support me when I need help. This module increases my communication skills and critical thinking skills, and I become more discipline in managing my time. Sometimes this module makes me feel depressed because of the strict requirements provided in brief but I always find a way to overcome the troubles I faced. Although the module is hard I found out that this module really helps a lot in my degree life. I do learn a lot and have a chance to prepare myself ready for my career in future.
