Diagramming Architectural Principle
As a group, we were assigned the task of 'learning from precedents' by analyzing their design objectives and principles. We were not limited to site and contextual approaches but also explored the exploration of solids, planes, lines, and frames in architectural design. We placed emphasis on the elements of architecture and architectonics that generated architectural form and space, which were produced through drawing and making. Our task was to investigate how spaces were created from the making of architectural and constructional elements: architectonics.

Embarking on this project alongside my group members was an enjoyable and fulfilling experience. We efficiently distributed tasks amongst ourselves and worked diligently to ensure timely completion. With only the name "Wooden Holiday Home" provided, we took the initiative to delve into extensive research, aiming to gain a comprehensive understanding of the design language and intentions associated with such a structure.
Immersing ourselves in the subject matter, we dedicated our efforts to studying the architect responsible for the project and closely examining the building itself. Through this rigorous exploration, we absorbed a wealth of information, enabling us to grasp the underlying reasons and methodologies behind initiating a design. It was fascinating to witness how architecture serves as a conduit, effectively translating the architect's ideas into tangible form by incorporating functional elements while harmoniously blending with the local traditions and vernacular architecture of the surroundings.
Participating in this project proved to be a tremendous opportunity for personal growth and learning. By thoroughly comprehending the intricacies of designing a wooden holiday home, I acquired valuable insights into the considerations and intricacies involved in creating such a structure. This experience not only expanded my knowledge but also honed my critical thinking and analytical skills within the realm of architectural design.
