Designing with Architectural Principle and Materiality - Pavillion
In the second assignment, we (in a group of 3) were challenged to explore our conceptual and operational procedures in order to produce a significant gesture of architectural space(s). We needed to select architectural principle(s) from the first assignment. The architectural principle(s) that we selected required us to define them. Our task was to explore the potential meanings and implications of these architectural principle(s) in the sense that they informed two areas: generating forms and crafting spaces.
During this project, our group went through numerous arguments and experienced moments of mental strain in order to reach our final decision. Working with my groupmates was an unforgettable experience as we learned and grew together, discovering each other's strengths along the way.
I am immensely grateful for the support of my groupmates. We endured together, staying up late into the night for discussions and model-making sessions. It brings me great joy that we never gave up and successfully completed the project within the demanding timeframe.
Adhering to the tight schedule for this assignment was challenging, but I persisted and achieved a final outcome that fills us all with pride. This experience showcases the development of my critical thinking, problem-solving skills, commitment to lifelong learning, and interpersonal abilities.
Infinity, a pavilion harmonising with the earth's contours: like an ant's nest, it invites a revelatory odyssey. Through an ant's eye view, we witness the symphony of infinite circulation within pathways entwine, transitions from shadows to sunlit entrances. Immersed in this tapestry, infinity mirrors boundless curiosity, embracing different viewpoints. Like ants, we embrace expanding of understanding. In the darkest corner, a guiding light ignites spirits, finding more on the transformative journey from shadows to revelation.
