FORM MANIPULATION & SPATIAL DESIGN
(40% INDIVIDUAL)
We must watch the film "Inside Out" and observe our allocated customer for this task.
The first and second mock-ups we create should be 5 cm tall, 7.5 cm long, and 7.5 cm broad. The scale is set at 1:200.
The finished model's dimensions are 30 cm in height, 15 cm in length, and 15 cm in width.
The scale is set at 1:100.
We must deliver a 10-minute presentation to our reviewer, and a presentation board is essential.
My client is Joy and I make some research on her. I finalize her personality by using keywords and start to think of what she will need in her spaces. After that, I draw a bubble diagram for the building.
I start building the first mock-up for Joy. After getting feedback from sir i make changes on my second mock-up.
For mock-up 2, I decided to use a white modelling board instead of a black modelling board. The feedback I got from Sir helped me a lot in making my final model.
In WEEK 13 11-15 JULY 2022, I done my final model.
In WEEK 14 18-22 JULY, I start drawing the presentation board.
Reflection
This is the last assignment of the ITSD module. I enjoy myself a lot while doing this assignment. My lecturer and friends are giving me a lot of mental support. I am so happy to have 3 cute friends to make the presentation board together. This assignment helped me a lot to think about how would we design a building for our client. I understand more about the scale through this module and assignment.
This task has taught me the value of time management. In addition, I learned how to manage stress and not let it control my emotions and attitude. I also work on improving my presenting skills and model-making method.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Communication skills help a lot when I present my work to the reviewer. She can understand more while I shared my design concept.
THINKING AND PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS
This skill helps a lot while I am doing the models and my presentation board.
LIFELONG LEARNING
Through these assignments, I need to learn on my own to understand more about the client so that I can include all information about her.
